Brown had to play against Harvard without the team’s only goalie after he was given a red-card at the end of their game vs Navy (more details in the article below). A field player stepped in and helped them to the win.
New coach and no home pool - Brown’s doing pretty well this season.

One of the best water polo tournaments in United States Water Polo is the annual Speedo Cup. Founded by Stan and Mary Sprague with the intent to be modeled after the Little League World Series, the Speedo Cup has become helped drive middle school participation across the country. The Speedo Cup counts some of the best players in US WaterPolo as alumni of the tournament including Tony Azevedo and Brenda Villa.

The ninth annual Holiday Cup will be held December 5-9 at Belmont Plaza pool in Long Beach, CA. The top national women’s water polo teams in the world will be there including the top three (in order): US, Australia, and Russia.

San Diego State will induct Rachel Scott-Ruano as the first water polo player into their Athletic Hall of Fame this Friday.
While Rachel was a member of the National Team for many years as a sharp-shooting lefty, many may not remember that she started at SDSU as a goalkeeper, earning Collegiate Goalkeeper of the Year honors in 1995.
Congrats Rachel - well deserved!

UCLA handed USC its first loss of the year - in convincing fashion.
The Bruins led from wire-to-wire as seven players scored in the 9-7 win. Chay Lapin had a career-high 15 saves.
