Great game at Avery Stadium on Saturday -  UCLA led early but Stanford stayed in it and led by the third quarter break. Good defense by the Cardinal secured the 7-6 win.

UCLA had handily beat Stanford at the Nor Cal Tournament in Berkeley a couple of weeks ago. Adam Krikorian took into account the tournament setting vs a one-game setting however, when the Daily Bruin put out their preview article.

Sacred Heart solidified their spot as the top girls team in Northern California by running unimpeded through the Nor Cal Invitational.

Controversy abounded surrounding the Clovis West vs Miramonte game on Friday night. Miramonte decided to forfeit their Saturday games and left two teams high and dry with no game. Interesting decision after what sounds like a great start for the Mats according to this Contra Costa Times article.

It’s a program for kids aged 8-9 to get them into the aquatic sports at a young age.
